Daily Inventions at School, 4/26/2011

Alec's teacher, Nasra, said he started this one at 2:30 P.M. He was still at it when I picked him up at 5.

That's focus.

Nasra told me that Alec will work on a LEGO creation in the morning, then he'll take a break with some other activity and come back to working on it throughout the day. He's the only kid she knows who does that.

By the evening, there's a crowd of kids admiring his creations. That happens every day at school.

Alec's pop.

Painted Lady Butterfly Larvae

They started out as larva, and now they're in chrysalises. We're watching to see them change. We planted Cosmos and other flowers for them to eat once they turn into butterflies. But we need the flowers to grow fast.
